Graf Transporte — Megawatt Charging Hub Bochum

Starting point: The Ruhr area is one of Europe's most important logistics regions — until now without publicly accessible megawatt charging infrastructure for electric trucks. Graf Transporte is planning the active electrification of its own fleet at the Bochum location.

Solution: First public megawatt charging hub for trucks in the Ruhr area. nanuq is responsible for charging infrastructure, energy supply, and operations in a Truck-Charging-as-a-Service model: 2 MCS charge points (up to 1,500 kW each), 4 CCS charge points (up to 600 kW each), liquid-cooled 600 A high-power cables. Publicly accessible 24/7 for regional and long-haul transport.

Result: Commissioning planned for summer 2026. Five battery-electric trucks from Graf Transporte will be integrated into operations at launch. The site is designed for future expansion and integration into a supra-regional MCS charging network.

The new MCS charging hub opens a new chapter for the Ruhr area. With our five e-trucks, we're showing that we're actively shaping the transition — and thanks to nanuq's infrastructure, we charge almost as fast and efficiently as conventional refuelling.

Duwensee Spedition charging park — operational

Duwensee Spedition & Lagerhaus GmbH

Starting point: Duwensee Spedition & Lagerhaus GmbH needed a high-performance charging infrastructure to electrify its own fleet. A suitable grid connection also had to be created and integrated in an energy-efficient way.

Solution: Construction of a charging hub with an Alpitronic HYC400 and preparation of an Ekoenergetyka Axon Side 400 with 6 charge points. A 1,000 kVA transformer was installed for the grid connection. Going forward, the system will additionally be combined with battery storage and a new PV system to ease the grid connection.

Result: A future-proof charging infrastructure was created at the site that can reliably supply the electrified fleet.
